What to do in an emergency

Move to a safe place first. If you need police, ambulance, or fire service, use 110 or 119. Phone links include a confirmation step to reduce accidental calls.

119

Find a hospital

Use 119 for life-threatening symptoms. Otherwise check with your hotel, insurer, JNTO Hotline, or local information.

Write symptoms, start time, pain area, medication, allergies, and insurance details, then show them.

Travel or health insurance

Payment, partner hospitals, and prior contact rules differ by policy. Confirm with your insurer.
